CONDITIONS
1. You must be a “Mainer,” meaning, you have either a) grown up in Maine or b) resided in Maine.
2. All works must be your own.
3. You grant us use of your works under the conditions written by the Creative Commons licensing agreement “Attribution.” More information can be found at http://creativecommons.org.

You can submit up to three images in your initial email. Please prepare your files as follows:

Format: CMYK/JPEG
Name: firstname_lastname_01.jpeg
Resolution: 300 dpi
Size: Landscape oriented images 6x4in; Portrait oriented images 6x8in

STEP ONE: Open your image in Adobe Photoshop.

STEP TWO: Under View, click on Rulers.

STEP THREE: Under Select, click on All.

STEP FOUR: Under Edit, click on Copy.

STEP FIVE: Under File, click New.

STEP SIX: In the Resolution field, enter 300. In the Color Mode field, choose CMYK Color. Click Ok.

STEP SEVEN: Under Edit, click on Paste.

STEP EIGHT: Under Image, click on Image Size.

STEP NINE: All landscape-oriented (wide) images in Flannel are printed at 6 x 4 inches and all portrait-oriented (tall) images are printed at 6 x 8 inches. If your image proportions do not fit these guidelines, choose the dimensions that are closest. Enter your dimensions accordingly in the Width and Height fields. Be sure that Inches is selected as the unit. Click Ok.

STEP TEN: Select the Rectangular Marquee tool. Under Style, select Fixed Size. In the Width field, enter 6 inches and in the Height field enter 4 inches. If you are working with a portrait image, enter 8 in the Height field.

STEP ELEVEN: A dotted-rectangular box will appear in your image. Click inside of the box and drag it around the image to select your composition.

STEP TWELVE: Under Edit, click on Copy.

STEP THIRTEEN: Under File, click on New. Be sure the Resolution is set at 300 and the Color Mode is CMYK Color. Hit Ok.

STEP FOURTEEN: Under Edit, click on Paste.

STEP FIFTEEN: Under File, click on Save As, and save the image as a JPEG. Please use your name in the file name. Click on Save.

STEP SIXTEEN: Be sure that the Image Quality is set at Maximum.
